The Vermont Department of Labor offices, including the UI Claimant Assistance Center and local Job Centers will be closed in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 5. The Department will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, September 6.
- If you receive your weekly benefit payments by check, you may experience a delay due to the holiday.
- The UI Claimant Assistance Center will be closed on Monday, September 5 and will reopen Tuesday, September 6 for regular business hours. Claimants can expect high call volumes on Tuesday morning with longer than usual wait times. To avoid long wait times, you are encouraged to call either later in the day, or later in the week. If you need to contact the UI Claimant Assistance Center to file your weekly claim, you have until Friday at 4pm to file.
- Local Job Center locations in Vermont will be closed on Monday, September 5, and will reopen for regular business hours on Tuesday, September 6. Individuals may contact the Workforce Development team through the Job Seeker Inquiry form, or by calling a local job center directly.
