Currently the Vermont Department of Labor is authorized to pay up to 20 weeks of Federal Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) to individuals who have exhausted and are ineligible for state unemployment compensation. An additional 13 weeks of the 2nd Tier EUC Benefits is also available at this time. Further information about the EUC program is available in the Info Center under Press Releases.
Once an individual exhausts their Regular benefits, they will automatically be set up for the appropriate extension or mailed a notice with filing instruction. In either case, a notice will be mailed. If a recipient’s mailing address changes, such change must be submitted in writing to enable notification.
Individuals who have already received their full regular and extended benefit entitlement will be mailed filing instructions if/when additional benefits become available. Information about future extensions (if/when available) will be posted on this web page.
