On Monday, October 19, the Department began issuing Lost Wage Assistance Program (LWA) payments to eligible claimants for the second round of LWA, the latter three weeks of the program including the benefit weeks ending August 22, August 29 and September 5. Claimants can expect to receive this payment in the mail within 5 to 7 business days in the form of a check.
The Department is continuing to process payments in the LWA on a regular basis. Claimants are encouraged to monitor their email for updates regarding their eligibility and payment status.
- All LWA payments are mailed to claimants and are unable to be sent via direct deposit
- Payments are subject to state and federal tax withholding, and must be reported by the claimant when filing their tax return
