Update on Direct Deposit Processing Issue

“The Department of Labor became aware on Wednesday that a number of Unemployment Insurance benefit payments had not been processed by the Department’s mainframe system. This in turn caused a delay with a batch of direct deposits that were scheduled for Wednesday, which the Department has been actively working to correct.”

“While we had hoped to rectify the problem sooner, we now believe a resolution has been reached. Processing of these payments will take place over the weekend, which should hopefully be deposited in claimants’ accounts by Tuesday of next week. We know this issue has put an additional strain on individuals and we have been working to correct this problem as quickly as possible. We apologize for the delay and any hardship this may have caused.”
