May Job Fests Continue Throughout Vermont: Rutland and Middlebury Attract Employers and Jobseekers Alike
Montpelier, Vt. The Vermont Department of Labor hosted its second spring Job Fest in Rutland on Thursday, continuing to help Vermonters find meaningful employment opportunities this season.
The event attracted over 200 jobseekers and nearly 60 employers, adding to the over 100 employers from a variety of different sectors who have participated thus far in this statewide effort.
“As an employer, we find it so important to have these face-to-face connections with job seekers, first impressions are important to us,” said the Genesis Healthcare team. “We encourage jobseekers to keep an open mind when coming to these events, you never know what position you might come across.”
In addition to Rutland, a Job Fest earlier this month in Middlebury saw over 30 employers and 100 jobseekers turn out to explore a variety of seasonal and full-time positions across multiple industries.
“These first two events were a great success for everyone involved,” said Wendy Morse, Regional Manager of the Workforce Development Division. “If you are still looking for a job headed into summer, we have a variety of resources available, and our team looks forward to working with you.”
