The Economic & Labor Market Information (E&LMI) Division’s purpose is to produce, disseminate and explain economic data for the benefit of the State of Vermont. Target audiences include elected officials, businesses, educational institutes, students, job-seekers, researchers, and the general public.
"In the past year, Vermont employers report filling a number of jobs with a concentration of activity in three sectors: Durable Manufacturing, Accommodation & Food Services and Health & Social Assistance. Employers in these industries hire a variety of occupations and contribute significantly to the Vermont economy by doing business with customers from in and out of the state. Even with the reported increases in filled jobs, there are still many unfilled jobs not represented in the data. The Department is asking all jobseekers, including recent graduates, to learn about the diversity of employment opportunities currently in the state. By filling open positions, Vermont businesses and the Vermont economy can continue to grow. Please contact one of the regional offices of the Vermont Department of Labor to learn more."
