CHAMP Visits the Vermont Department of Labor’s Burlington Job Center TODAY!
MONTPELIER, Vt. – The Vermont Department of Labor is thrilled to announce that CHAMP, the Lake Monsters’ mascot, will be visiting the Department’s Career One-Stop American Job Center in Burlington, located at 63 Pearl Street, on May 31, 2024, at 1:30 p.m.
While at the Burlington Job Center, CHAMP will refresh his monster resume, highlighting his extraordinary achievements, and polishing the transferable skills that make him an MVP on and off the field.
"CHAMP is no stranger to the Department of Labor, and we're excited to host him again at our Burlington Job Center," said Labor Commissioner Michael Harrington. "CHAMP's visit highlights our ongoing partnership with the Lake Monsters and allows us to showcase the wide range of workforce services the Department offers, both online and in-person at our Job Centers. Whether you’re a job seeker or an employer looking for talent, the Department of Labor can help."
CHAMP will also attend the upcoming career fairs at Centennial Field on Thursday, June 6, 2024, and Wednesday, July 24, 2024. These events coincide with Lake Monsters games, offering job seekers a unique chance to connect with local employers while enjoying family-friendly fun with the Vermont Lake Monsters.
Job seekers are encouraged to register ahead of time at labor.vermont.gov for free entry into the game.
Media members are welcome to attend on May 31 at 1:30 p.m. at 63 Pearl Street, Burlington, to join the cheering squad for CHAMP's job search adventure!
