The Vermont Department of Labor offices, including the UI Claimant Assistance Center and local Job Centers, will be closed in observance of Independence Day (July 4th) on Monday, July 4, 2022. The Department will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, July 5.
- If you file your claim online, you will still be able to do so but will experience a minor delay in payment due to the holiday.
- The UI Claimant Assistance Center will also be closed on Monday, July 4 and will reopen Tuesday, July 5, for regular business hours. Claimants should expect higher than normal call volume on Tuesday morning with longer than usual wait times. To avoid long wait times, you are encouraged to call either later in the day, or later in the week. If you need to contact the UI Claimant Assistance Center to file your weekly claim, you have until Friday at 4pm to file.
- Local Job Center locations in Vermont will be closed on Monday, July 4, and will reopen for regular business hours on Tuesday, July 5. Individuals may contact the Workforce Development team through the Job Seeker Inquiry form, or by calling a local job center directly.
