- Build a team in your community to plan for, win funding for and implement critical investments.
- Focus on collaboration across the public, non-profit and civic sectors in your community.
- Across your team and among your partners, clearly define roles to ensure coordination.
- Think about how best to target your efforts to address issues of equity in your community.
- Make sure that you fully understand – and are prepared to execute on – responsibilities and obligations related to Federal financial assistance such as environmental reviews and compliance
