The Vermont Department of Labor offices, including the UI Claimant Assistance Center and local Job Centers, will be closed on August 16th in observance of Bennington Battle Day. Note: If the holiday falls on a Saturday, it is observed on the preceding Friday; if it falls on a Sunday, it is observed on the following Monday. The Department will resume regular business hours on the next business day after the observance.

• You can still file your claim online, but due to the holiday, you may experience a minor delay in payment.
• UI Claimants should expect high call volumes and longer-than-usual wait times on the next business day after the holiday observance. To avoid long wait times, you are encouraged to call either later in the day or later in the week.
