The Department of Labor is in the initial proposed rulemaking process of updating the Hazard Communication Standard. These rules have been adopted at the federal level, and Vermont is proposing to do the same. Public comment on the proposed rule is being accepted through December 27, 2024. A public hearing on the proposed rule will be held on Thursday, December 19, from 10:00 a.m. to noon, at the Department’s central office at 5 Green Mountain Drive, Montpelier.
